Core Guidelines for all submissions

  • The magazine we are putting together is entitled- Dearest Swami. So, please make the submissions appropriate to the theme of Swami and your connection with God. You can express your love, admiration, friendship, devotion or just conversations in many ways
  • All work must be original and created by the student and must not be copied from any other source (books, websites or the world wide web in general). No plagiarism.
  • Kindly adhere to the guidelines provided for kind of submission.This is to ensure we are fair to have as many submissions we can accommodated
  • Deadline for all entries is October 20,2025 . Submissions made within the deadline will be honored.
  • Kindly submit use the Google form that is provided for each entry category
  • The compilation team will do their best to honor all the entries.Kindly be advised we will have to make decisions based on the guidelines and to include as many entries as possible
  • Each participant is allowed to select maximum 2 categories of their choice. Select what you BEST connect with.
  • You will not hear back from us unless we have a question, concern or are not able to use your entry.

Submission Guidelines
Submission Guidelines for Artwork:
  1. Make your artwork in an A4 size paper with an 1 inch margin on all four sides .
  2. Enhance the borders with dark color markers for any artwork.
  3. Make sure pencil sketches are clearly visible.
  4. All art work should be submitted as JPEG or PNG images.
  5. Kindly make sure the images are high resolution.
  6. Paintings can be made with any medium of your choice – Acrylics, Digital art,pencils Watercolors or crayons
  7. Submit your artwork with the following details : Name of the art, First Name, Last Name, Group, Center, Name and Location.
  8. Submit crafts or collage work using pencil shavings, popsicles sticks, pistachios or peanut shells etc. and follow the same submission guidelines

Submission Guidelines for Articles/Poems:
  1. Submissions can be letters, essays, Self Reflections from your Sadhana, including your Seva experiences , any way you connect with  Dearest Swami (Note: we shall discuss in our next meeting) 
  2. Fit your articles  in an A4 size paper with an 1 inch margin on all four sides
  3. Word limit – minimum 50 to maximum 750 words for articles and poems should not be longer than 4-5 verses and fit in the page .
  4. Language should be clean and content should revolve around Swami’s teachings and/or your personal reflections.
  5. Kindly use #4 Pencil or Black Ink Pen for written articles.
  6. Feel free to express yourself through a variety of poems – Rhyming, Free Verse and Acrostic.
  7. You may add relevant pictures / images as part of your articles or poems. Kindly make sure the images are high resolution in JPEG or PNG format. 
  8. All written articles should be in Word documents (.Doc).
  9. Submit your articles with the following details : Name of the article, First Name, Last Name, Group ,Center Name and Location.
